Why can't I register myself?

User registration has been disabled on this BBS (Bulletin Board System).

It seems that BBS are a prime target for spammers and their bots, a system that is automated for allowing the public to post content on a website is just too juicy of an opportunity for them to pass up! The more visible the site is in the search engines (the more links to or the more traffic to) the more often they are going to be hit by these vandals.

With hundreds of spammers/bots out there, it has become impossible to keep up with cleaning off the spam. Bots are getting engineered better and smarter almost on a daily bases and now has become impossible to have an open system for everyone to access.

Only administrators now can add users to this BBS/forum and only real registered users can post content on to this site. It is a little more work for everyone, however having a spam free site is well worth it!

If you want to become a real member of this forum/BBS site, please contact one of the administrators with your contact details with primary email address and the login/user name and password you wish to have. One of the administrators will contact you and then register your account.

Once your account is registered, you will still have to activate it by using the key emailed to you via the email address you provided. Check your 'junk' folder if you can’t find the email from our system and if there; add the address to your safe/white list. It is important that you keep your email address valid and current in case we have to contact you. I'm sure you hate spam as much as we do, because of this you will not have to worry about getting spam in your 'inbox' from us.
